Snow. And snow. And snow. Or ice. Or cold. We go to school once or twice a week. For things like the Variety Show. Indoor recess is not good for extremely energetic children. And here at home, we play in the snow, and read, and do LOTS of screens, and truckloads of homework and school work because the teachers have wised up and started sending days of work home at a time. Yesterday Cole Seevers did an hour and a half of long division, composed his biography project questions about Mark Zuckerberg, did 20 pages of cursive practice, read two social studies packages and knocked out three books. Out of sheer boredom. I won't even talk about what Chase is doing. You wouldn't believe me. Plus he fights me on all of it tooth and nail, so it brings back bad memories. Caroline takes pictures of me and gives me little makeovers with her Barbie app. Most of which involve extremely glittery makeup and hair. It looks like in one of them I've just learned school is cancelled again. Grr. I'm done complaining. The snow is gorgeous. But we need spring. And school.
