Cole is nine today. And it's spring break. And it's 60 degrees out. We laid around all morning, and his best friends came over early. He took his new scooter out (wearing his new helmet, sneakers and footed pajamas). We played outside, and took cupcakes to McDonald's. We picked up Chase's friend's guinea pigs so they can stay with ours while their humans are traveling. We sang "Dumb Ways to Die" at the top our lungs while we drove. We made forts, and slow motion videos, and Dad came home early to eat burgers and more cake with all of us. Cole's teacher texted him a video of her whole family singing Happy Birthday in harmony, all the way from their vacation in Key West. And when it started getting dark, we all ran outside to play so Cole could show off the light-up wheels and spark maker on his new scooter. It is GREAT to be nine.
