After dancing the night away out of town for a friend's 40th, I hustled back to Northern Virginia so the kids and I could ride the annual "ghost train" around Burke Lake. Caroline was NOT a fan. Don't ask me WHY she's scared of the three pigs on a Halloween train ride, but will run right up the Stay Puft guy and give him a high five. Must be because Cole is constantly playing the Ghostbusters song on his little CD player. In any case, it was great fun, and we wrapped up the afternoon at a nearby market where we stocked up on pumpkins big and small, apple butter and gallons of cider.
