Swimming

It's amazing what a year and a little weight will do. Chase has done swim team before, but it was mostly a social activity and he competed happily in the developmental meets on Monday nights without much concern. This year, things have changed - he's stronger and working harder. He'll be swimming in his third "A" meet this Saturday in three events. Last Saturday, he took second place in backstroke against the toughest team in our division, and his relay team won the 100M freestyle. The swim meet culture is new to me, as I didn't grow up swimming - it is so much fun! With 200 kids on our team alone, the cheering gets good and rowdy. Go SHARKS!
