About halfway through last night's meet, where Chase was swimming backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, he started complaining about feeling cold. I chalked it up to the nighttime pool water, but it was 90 degrees outside. After the meet, we discovered he had 102 degree temperature. This morning, it was even higher, and he was sick to his stomach. But he was just cheered up by an email from the team rep telling him to rest up and get better - he's swimming free and breast in divisionals this weekend!

And behold Chase's wackiest fan, ready to holler "GO CHASE!" as she does every week. And by wacky, I do mean Caroline, not Grandma!Photos: Laura May
