Cole really wanted to join the swim team this year, but after a few initial lessons with "Coach Aubrey" we concluded he wasn't quite there. But yesterday, on a lark, he decided to give it a try. Decked out in his equipment of choice - a snorkeling mask - he shakily inched to the end of the diving board and, to my complete surprise, hurled himself in. Then he managed to swim across the deep end twice, to pass the Minisharks assessment. We went to
Suit Up! today to buy his swim uniform, and I convinced him to try regular goggles - so of course, he picked green and purple ones with snake eye lenses. Cole ROCKS!
