Chase's Birthday and Viva Vienna

For the first time, Chase by-passed the party circuit (thank goodness) and decided to go to the movies with three of his best buds, Aneesh, Xavier and Will. And as usual, the celebration fell around the same time as Viva Vienna, so we did the requisite riding, eating, sunburning and hitting opening weekend at the pool. When our actual birthday rolled around, Tim surprised me by taking us all out to one of my favorite spots and showering me in thoughtful little gifts. He's such a sweetheart. This morning he was heading out for work . . . Caroline hadn't seen him kiss me goodbye, and as he was leaving, she shouted, "DAD! You forgot to love on MOM!" He came around laughing and gave me a second dose, lest she think I was being left out. It's a wonder the poor man ever gets out the door.
