First Day of School and Oakton's Newest Patrol

As a friend's father said at patrol training, I can't believe they're leaving the safety of these children in the hands of these boys. That being said, I've never seen a more dedicated patrol than sweet Chase Seevers. And yes, that mass of kids is our bus stop. Forty of our closest friends - and that's not including parents!

the honeycomb smell of cole's pillow - early morning mist on the field, sunrise pink - little blonde bit of first haircut - rich scrambled eggs from chickens that run around and eat grass and bugs - watering my vegetables - an unexpected new azalea in the backyard - putting summer activities on the calendar - little legs splattered in paint - mommy i need my inhayluhs - finally learning not to hurry - cake for no reason -
